To remove adhesive-taped ring sensors from your wall, simply twist them slowly in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. First, remove the sensor from the baseplate, then unscrew the baseplate from the wall to remove a Ring sensor from the wall. Disable the sensor to prevent any tamper alerts from being accidentally triggered.

How to Attach Ring Sensors to a Surface
Ring sensors may be mounted in one of two ways:
Adhesive tape is included with each Ring sensor.
There are pre-drilled holes on the back of Ring sensors for screws to be used to install them.
Invoking the Help of Screws
The most secure method to attach your Ring sensors on any surface is using screws. Using a screwdriver, fasten the sensor’s rear plate to the desired surface.

There is almost little chance that they may mistakenly activate an alarm detection event by falling to the ground. The main drawback of screwing your motion sensor into the wall is that you’ll have to make additional holes in your walls, which may need plastering.

How to Prevent Tamper Alerts from Ring Sensors
When it comes time to remove your Ring sensors, there’s one major consideration to keep in mind.
As part of its design, Ring sensors include a characteristic that makes tampering with them difficult.

Each of your sensors has a little plastic tab that pushes a button. If this configuration is tampered with in any way, a brief alarm is sent to your device. Your local police may be notified automatically if you pay for Ring’s professional alarm monitoring service.
Remove your Ring sensors, and you run the risk of setting off an alarm. In order to remove your Ring sensors safely, you’ll want to temporarily stop tamper warnings.
